Other Info/Overall Personality: Carter is an outdoorsy, quiet person who doesn't often disturb people to ask them questions. She has some trust issues due to past events that caused her to distance herself from her friends and family temporarily until her junior year of high school. While she'd distanced herself from everyone she'd grown quiet and that just stuck. She still enjoys loud music and concerts and things like that, she just doesn't make much noise or disturbance with her voice anymore. Carter loves her family of four and is glad they have enough money to send her to college to pursue her dream career of being a veterinarian. As a side job to help pay for the apartment she's staying in and other college fees she takes people on a tour of the wildlife refuge just outside the city where she's studying.

History:
Carter was born a few weeks premature, which worried her parents, but strong little Carter pulled through. She was a tiny baby, which made her parents predict she would be short for her age. This prediction was correct until she turned seven and shot up to be one of the tallest girls in her class. When Carter was two her little brother, Daniel, was born. He was not much bigger than Carter was and she shared a special connection with him. They told each other almost everything up until her freshman year of high school. The end of eighth grade was exciting for Carter because she was very excited for her freshman year and spending time with her friends over the summer. That all changed when her parents took her to a family friend's lake house for a month to spend time with them.
At first Carter was skeptical on her parents' plans to make her have fun at this lake house. She'd only been camping once and hardly remembered the experience, so she'd assumed she wouldn't enjoy it. But once she got in the water, she realized she loved being outdoors. She went down to the lake every day, whether she was swimming, fishing, or going out in the row boat, she loved being outside. The family friend had two children, one who was Daniel's age named Molly and one who would be a junior in high school named Jared. Daniel and Molly grew to be best friends and Jared was friendly towards Carter. She didn't know why that was so until one night he'd asked her to go camping for a night. Of course, she'd said yes and they embarked to the woods surrounding the lake. Once they were far enough from the lake they pitched a tent and had a long fireside conversation. She thought that maybe, just maybe, Jared wasn't a stupid jock. That night she ended up being wrong.
Carter was told to never tell anyone what he'd done to her on account of his "reputation" and she was sworn into silence. The following year she distanced herself from everyone, even her brother, whom she'd always shared everything with. The only person who knew what she was going through was Jared, and he didn't care whether she was hurting or not. The following summer Carter refused to go anywhere near the lake house and stayed with her uncle on her mother's side for the whole month they were gone. She vowed that she'd never let anyone get close to her again and she'd never trust anyone like she trusted Jared. She went through her sophomore year in tortured silence. She participated quietly and kept her grades up, but she spent more and more time outside. That Christmas before the break she found an envelope in her locker addressed to her from her best friend, Samantha. The card enclosed stated the fact that Sam was worried about her and wanted to talk to her. Carter ignored the card until her family wanted to go to the lake house again. Carter called up Samantha and stayed with her until her family came back. While she was with her she spilled what had happened and how the harassment wasn't just a one-time thing.
That next school year Carter rekindled some friendships and told her family what had happened. She was shocked into action by her family's kindness and acceptance. She did the same as she always did, spending even more time outside, but she spent the time with friends or her lonely little brother. She opened herself up to the love that people had to offer and shared everything with Samantha. Carter graduated high school a year later and applied for a college relatively near home with Samantha. She got an apartment near the campus and bought her two dogs, Danny and Sam, after settling down. She currently is preparing for her classes and earning money by working a job as a tour guide at the wildlife refuge near the city.

Margot sighed as she looked at herself in the mirror, ready for another night of pretending. Another night of acting like she was actually pretty enough, smart enough, rich enough to hang out with the people she did. As she picked up her phone she noticed messages from her old friends, Bianca and Charlotte, asking if she was coming to Bianca’s house to hang with them for once. She stared at the phone then glanced in the mirror at the girl with the smoky make-up and glitter caked on her face. She then glared at the girl who starved for attention by wearing slutty clothes and flirting with every boy in sight. She glared at the girl who had become exactly what she’d always hated. In a fit of frustration she tore the tight fitting dress off her body, pulled the glittery hair fixtures out of her curls, and ran to the bathroom.
She hunched over the sink and scrubbed the make-up off her face, hating every particle of it that splattered on her counters and floor. When she finished she stared at the girl with wide blue eyes, golden curls, and light freckles spattering her red nose and cheeks. She ran to her bedroom, changed into her pajamas, and replied to her friends, telling them that she would be there. She eventually repaired her mascara and tried to put a smile on her face as she prepared herself for another night of pretending… But for different people. She put together a bag and expertly held in the tears for the umpteenth time that week. She slung the duffle bag over her shoulder and grabbed her keys, nearly ready to go. As she reached the door she shoved her feet into some shoes and pulled on a sweat shirt to guard her from the February chill.
Margot got in her car and drove to Bianca's house, blasting her radio all the way there. She pushed her curls out of her face and tried to smile again, this time forging a relatively authentic smile. Her white teeth shone in the dim light as she bared them to smile in the mirror then turned her attention back to the road. Checking the time she noted where she would be at the time if she'd decided to go out. She shook off the thought and pulled into her friend's driveway. As she stepped out of the car a short girl with brown hair ran up to her and hugged her tightly, nearly knocking her back into her car. Margot laughed and patted Charlotte's head as Bianca ran up to them. "Sorry I'm late," she apologized as Bianca grabbed her bag.
The Spanish girl patted her shoulder and pried Charlotte away from her blonde friend. "It's not a problem. I'm surprised you said yes," she replied as she made her way to the front door. Margot locked her car and followed soon after, bracing herself for a load of questions and a night filled with possible headaches.
